My review and build of the MG (master grade) Zeta Gundam 2.0
When starting my build of this kit, I was somewhat intimidated by the hurdle of jumping into the realm of the master grade Gunpla models. I wanted to make my MG debut with a Mobile Suit that I really enjoy. It just so happened that at my local hobby store had the Zeta Gundam 2.0 in stock, a model that I had fond memories of seeing in the anime. I knew that I had to do this model. There were many parts and runners in the MG, lots of nipping and filing. All of this detail and hard work payed off when I finished the model. I really enjoy how this model came out. Another thing that I had no prior experience with was the use of dry transfer decals. I feel like the addition of these decals on to the Gundam really adds that next step up from just foil stickers and panel lining. One thing that I don't really care for with this particular model is the transformation feature that this model has. In the show, the Zeta Gundam transforms from it's mobile suit form into a jet (called Wave rider). I like the look of it, but it is difficult to properly put it into place without taking an arm off, or a hand falling off. In conclusion, I think this is a great model and an amazing introduction for a modeller to the world of Master Grade models.
My Rating: 9/10
