My build of the RG Zaku II
When going into this build, I was very excited, this was because ever since I was exposed to the massive entity that is Gundam, I have always loved the look of Zakus. With that being said, this build posed a small challenge for me. It was the first RG (Real Grade) model that I had attempted to build. There are many differences between the HG and RG line of models that I quickly came to encounter once I began to build this kit. The RG Zaku II has more of a detailed feel to itself that how I see my other models. The model has pieces like the tubes onthe legs and head where on HG models they would be a solid piece of plastic, but in this model's case it has springs and wires that connect with small cylindrical pieces to give the model better articulation. Another big difference is that instead on building the body in separate parts, the RG models come with a frame or a 'skeleton' that you build on top of to put the model together. It is a very interesting process when building an RG model, but also very rewarding when looking at the finished product.
